So a couple of months ago, as every dnb head should be doing is listening to the latest Hospital Records podcast...opening with this Mistabishi tune, following his recent release No Matter What (also sickening). I was intrigued at first as i could hear Sigur Ros, the last track on their album 'Takk' that builds for like 20 minutes...anyways, then i hear the voice of this Danman. Then bang, the drop...check it out...Massive tune!

Nike Air Max 90 x Humura

Sensual looking treds i know, this new release from Nike is part of the ongoing 'hybrid' project, Nike x ACG Humara.

You can recognise the Air Max 90 influence in the shoe, Humara's lace loops and heel straps. The full on sole Air Max unit with speckled midsole, as fashioned by every chav in town...but these have that little something to make you respect the AIR MAX 90 again (to be fair i never lost any but for all of those that did!)...No word yet on availability so keep your eyes open.

So it snowed today, very strange experience for us british...there was no snow at 7 in the morning...the heavens opened, the sounds of children laughing is always related to snow for me. Then by 12 the kids fun was over, snow was no where to be seen.

Its April, and snowing, the 'official' first day of summer was the other day...????

Ok...so Sebastien Chabal, my favourite sportsman right now...hes a tank. First tackle, pure concussion, second, breaks his jaw...

Shut up and Analyse

Can someone please tell me where I can purchase a mega drive of a Sega Genesis and a copy of cult classic hoops game “Barkley shut up and jam”. This made my younger days worth while. My team was always Barkley, L.Train and the Mohawk guy.

I love how the essence of the game was an NBA Jam Tournament edition rip off
with one massive difference. Barkley choose to go back to the streets and play pick up three on three with a bunch of hobo looking street “ballers”. What were they playing for not trophies probably whiskey and no more regrets. All those playing without shirts were willing a ball to beam them up side there craniums hard enough that they would forget why they had got to this place. Playing hoops for money to pay for accelerating drug habits. (I assume) This game was Gully. A game For the purists and for those who were not impressed about being will smith and hearing boomshakalacka reverberate around the surrounding walls . BSAJ Also taught a valuable life lesson. Never play cage basketball with Sir Charles Barkley the ghetto was just a holiday for him some where to go before evening warm-ups. All those other guys were sleeping on that blacktop. He was dunking on them in there home. Harsh.

A few months ago close friend of the Dutty family and all round vertical leap pioneer Paul Allardyce informed me that this year would be special in the NCAA college basketball league. Was he talking about O.J Mayo or Michael Beasley or maybe even Derek Rose. NOPE. Sir Dyce was talking about Davidson Guard and son of Dell Curry Stephen Curry. He did not disappoint. Here is a couple of clips of Mr Curry I wish you could have all seen my expressions as the prophetic message of Paul came true. I am not saying that Paul is a prophet or even an embodiment of all the power in the universe mixed with a little Dick Vitale.

But next time Paul tells me of a hunch I will believe.

Raja bell and high school hoops.

A couple of days ago I was asked to coach a high school basketball team. (the Future Upper Shirley High)I see this as a great opportunity to take the triangle offence into English schools. I cant wait for line drills at dawn. My plan is to take a team and create real basketball players but if the chance arises and I will put all my energy into this I will teach the art of blocking fouls and taking the perfect charge. Who am I kidding that will be the subject of our first practice.

I will keep you all updated on our progress.

If all els fails I will fall back on the ideas and practices of the grand master of defense Raja Bell, proud member of the phoenix suns organization. NBA.
